Product details
This beautifully handcrafted 32-inch Qadari Afghan Rubab is a timeless piece of cultural heritage, ideal for musicians, collectors, and enthusiasts of traditional music. Crafted from premium Shah Tut (King Mulberry) wood, known for its durability and rich resonance, this Rubab produces a deep, resonant bass tone that is cherished in Afghan music traditions. It features 15 decorative pegs with intricate sadaf (mother-of-pearl) inlays, offering not only stunning aesthetic value but also superior tuning precision.
This Rubab is tuned for a standard Afghan music style but can be adjusted for deeper bass tones, making it perfect for both professional musicians and hobbyists. The design includes a sturdy neck and two chambers, enhancing its acoustic properties for vibrant sound and projection.
For added convenience, the Rubab comes with a protective bag cover, extra strings, and a pick for maintaining the instrument. It’s a versatile instrument, suitable for solo performances, recording sessions, or use in music schools and academies.
This Rubab has been gently used for personal practice and a few professional recordings in my home studio. It has never been used for heavy touring or performances, ensuring it’s in excellent condition. I am now selling it as I have upgraded to a newer model and no longer have the space for multiple Rubabs.
